The Family Services program at 色中色 prepares you for a career in a variety of family and child services settings. You will make a positive impact on parents, children and families in your community by gaining knowledge in areas such as effective behavioral intervention, standard health and safety practices, essentials of cultural sensitivity, functional family dynamics, basic record keeping and positive interpersonal communication.听听

鈥淚 believe children are our future and the family is where it all begins. However, children and families occasionally need someone to walk beside them until they are strong enough to walk on their own. The Family Services Specialist Degree program at SCC is preparing me to reach out and help children and families in need. Through my coursework, I am gaining a deeper understanding of how to help children and families which continues to prepare me to make a difference in their lives.鈥�
