Student Email Login Instructions

Signing in to Office 365

1. Go to . You can bookmark this address, or find the link on the Student Portal page under Log into your Student Accounts — click SCC Student Email.
2. Type in your username: YourStarID@go.minnstate.edu and click Next.
3. Be sure you see the Minnesota State branding in the background. Type in your StarID password and click Sign in.

Note: This login address (StarID@go.minnstate.edu) is different from your É«ÖÐÉ« email address, which appears in the format firstname.lastname@my.southcentral.edu.

Multi-Factor Authentication

• First-time users: After signing in, you will be prompted to enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You will be asked for your preferred method to verify your login:
  • A mobile app (Microsoft Authenticator)
  • A phone number (receive a text code or a call)
• After enrollment: Select your preferred verification method each time you sign in. If you choose to receive a code, type it into the prompt.

Accessing Outlook and More

1. Once logged in to Office 365, you will see the home page where you can open your online applications.
2. Click Outlook on the left side of the home page to access your inbox.
