Purpose:  This policy is to communicate how to request a computer currently that is a part of the rotation process at É«ÖÐÉ«.

Applicability: É«ÖÐɫ’s computer labs are purchased using Student Technology Fee funds and are replaced on a three or four year rotation. The machines from those labs are refurbished and distributed throughout the college to programs, student organizations and employees as requested by the employee or his/her supervisor. These machines are limited in number, so employees are not guaranteed a rotation machine upon request.

Procedure: To request a rotation machine, a help desk ticket must be submitted by the employee who needs the machine or his/her supervisor.

The ticket must contain the following information:

  • Name of person who will use the computer
  • Location of office
  • Which programs need to be installed (Standard installations include Microsoft Office, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome.)

Additionally, the requester could include information about performance of the current computer.

Upon receipt of the ticket, the help desk will respond with availability information.
