Students at SCC originate from numerous countries, and most of these multilingual and multicultural students are U.S. citizens or permanent residents: living, working, and studying here. International students are NOT immigrant students. Deemed  by the Department of Homeland Security, they come to the U.S. specifically to study.

SCC also serves refugee and asylee students.
