John Moser is professor of history and chair of both the Department of History and Political Science and the Master of Arts in American History and Government at Ashland University. He has undergraduate degrees in history and telecommunications from Ohio University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is author or editor of seven books, including听The Great Depression and the New Deal: A Concise History(Ashbrook Press 2023),听(Routledge 2015),听听(New York University Press 2005), and听听(New York University Press 1999). He has also published several role-playing games in the Reacting to the Past series, including听,听, and听(the latter co-authored with Nicolas Proctor). In 2016 he was winner of Ashland University鈥檚 Edward and Louaine Taylor Excellence in Teaching Award, and he was the recipient of the university鈥檚 Excellence in Scholarship Award in 2022.

John lives in Ashland with his wife, Monica, their daughter, Stanzi, and their three dogs.
